What an incredible few days at the Sea Otter Classic in Monterey Bay! This multi-day celebration of cycling brought together over 75,000 enthusiasts and hundreds of vendors from around the globe. From races to a kids fun zone, the Sea Otter Classic truly lived up to its reputation as the world’s premier cycling festival.
Bike Expo
At the heart of the Sea Otter Classic is a huge expo, featuring brands showcasing the latest in cycling technology. Attendees had the opportunity to explore cutting-edge gear, and interact with industry leaders. From tons of components to cool, new apparel, the expo did not disappoint! Beyond the gear, the expo featured stunt shows, meet and greets, and lots of food options.
Cycling Community
What really sets the Sea Otter Classic apart is its sense of community. Cyclists of all levels, from amateurs to professionals, come together to share their passion for the sport. The event fosters an environment where fans can meet their cycling heroes, learn from experts, and make lasting connections. We even met legend Hans 'No Way' Rey and saw several pros! Another highlight was the Marin Museum of Bicycling's portable mini museum (see photo of one of the first mountain bikes)!
Gravel Bike Trends
The gravel races were definitely one of the highlights of the week. There were a LOT of gravel bike displays-- and we had chance to show off our Mt. Lowe gravel bike (and Diablo road bike) while exploring the Expo. We connected with several companies working on cool new gravel bike accessories. We're working on more accessory bundling options... so stay tuned for more details!
See you next year, Sea Otter
Check out some of our favorite photos from the event below. The Sea Otter Classic remains a beacon for cyclists worldwide, and we can't wait to return in 2026!
